games not saving and science points gone

Steps to reproduce

I save the game and even after the automatic save in the morning I still start on day 1 with no science points

Describe your issue

I save the game and even after the automatic save in the morning I still start on day 1 with no science points. So I had everything unlocked and alot of points so I start all over again from day 1 with no points. Sucks.
