Steam Microstuttering

Constantly during gameplay

I read that this had been reported before and was moved to archived issues. In the steam version the game appears to be stuttering every few seconds, just for a brief moment. However it appears to be constant, and not related to any particular action. It also appears to only be during gameplay, as the main menu seems to look fine. Between stutters the game runs as smooth as silk, so I'm hesitant to think that this is a problem with my machine as I have many other graphically intensive games that I play without issues.

System specs:
CPU: Intel Core2Duo 2.24GHz
Ram: 4 GB
Video card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 TI 1GB GDDR5

I had the same problem some days ago, and a new world solved my problem here. When it happened I used the test generation, now I'm using the default and the problem is gone.

Thanks for the tip. I have been scouring the forums trying to find more info about this. Maybe this is a kink that has yet to be ironed out of the new maps. I will try generating a new world and see how it goes!
