I think it would be best if this suggestion activated after a certain naughtiness level. like at 20 you get attacked by a mutated version of whatever gave you the last naughtiness points.

How so?

It only works in the last adventure area because normally that would be WAY too hard. I don't think anybody is ready for a hardcore demon to come along 30 days in, and return every 6 days more powerful than before. In darkness you stay for a while because it's so difficult to get any teleportato pieces in eternal night. Therefore you stay for a long time. This monster would really help set the feel that you're almost done, and that darkness is a challenge to remember. A walking corpse. In night. FOREVER. There is no running around the fire until day comes. You have to move ON. It works PERFECTLY with darkness, and how hard it is to move around frequently. It would add a giant challenge to darkness especially if it appeared earlier.

Realistically, the only weapons you would have at that point would be the weapons you'd be using mostly throughout the game (Tentacle spike, log suit, maybe football helmet) I suppose it could be increased up a little bit, maybe to give players time to fight with the dark sword. Or an alternate game mode, with special boons "Shrines" that would delay "It".
