Pylgrim
My girlfriend recently started playing Don't Starve. After a few days of playing, she noticed that Koalefants no longer run away from her character. it will still emote startled, but won't run away even when the character directly presses against it. She installed Reign of Giants yesterday but that didn't fix that behaviour. The only way to make a Koalefant move, she found out is by attacking it and then running away. The Koalefant will then give chase. Not a big bug but it's annoying not being able to move and keep a few Koalefants around the base for renewable manure. I just read another report of this happening in the Internet around the same time we noticed it, so I'm suspecting is a bug introduced by a recent update. Pylgrim
Started a new game myself and now I'm experiencing the same glitch. By the way, both in the Steam version.

Pylgrim
Hmm, not trying to sound rude, but do we ever get assurance that the devs are reading these and addressing them?
redrosewolfess
I have this problem as well. I can attack the koalefant once and have them run after me for a minute, but then they stop again.
piratekingflcl
From what I can tell, this was changed when they released the "Hang Ten" update on December 17th. Even without the Shipwrecked DLC I received an update, and when I started up my game later that day the changed behavior was present. Their behavior in Don't Starve Together hasn't changed, so I'm guessing this is a bug. Now, as someone who spends most of their time in Don't Starve herding Koalefants - this change is rather irritating. If it's a bug, then please at least acknowledge it, so we can look forward to a fix.If it's an intended balance change then...that sucks, I guess? But knowing either way would be nice. Developer ImDaMisterL Posted January 15, 2016 Developer Share Posted January 15, 2016 Yeah, this is a known bug. I'm pretty sure the devs are working to fix it, even so, it wouldn't hurt to ask one of them about this issue, like @PeterA or @nome, could any of you shed some light on this matter? ertt554433
Koalefant still buged, but Glomer and Icerocks unmuted!
Pelliway
Honestly, I had no idea they were supposed to run until I played Don't Starve Together. Are we sure they are in single player? They act just like beefalos, so it kind of seems like a feature added in DST rather than a bug.

They used to always run away from the player in DS, unless attacked. They stopped doing that sometime after SW was released/updated, so yeah, it's a bug
