Game crashs at the begining of game.

Steps to reproduce

1. Select 'Start', select 1st (default) character
2. Game starts, see the 'how long will you survive'
3. Get windows popup 'dontstarve.exe has crashed'

Describe your issue

This is on an HP Pavillion dv2000 Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. We can't get the version number of the game because it crashes before we can 'backspace' to find version.
