[Gameplay] [Vita] Willow getting damage from too much heat from a bonfire

Recommended Posts

Platform: VITA

Issue title

Willow getting damage from too much heat from a bonfire

Steps to reproduce

Play as Willow, build a bonfire, put in logs to make it burn high, wait.

Describe your issue

The screen will get this yellow view on the four corners. Willow will say: The heat is too intense or something like that, which is absurd since she cannot be supposedly harmed by fire. Then you will receive damage

Hi. What do you mean by "Fire is not Heat"? Basic science tells us that Fire = Heat + Oxygen + Fuel

Anyway, I'm just trying to point out that damage coming from all ingame sources of fire (bonfire, burning trees, etc) for should be nullified for Willow, since the game actually tells us that she is immune to fire damage. I find it ridiculous that she is getting damage from the bonfire, for crying out loud.

Also, I'm not indirectly saying that Willow should be immune to the summer heat effects, if ever that comes up.

I still think it's a bug.

The damage you get from being burned is not the same damage you get from heat stroke. They are different effects on the body.  She is not immune to heat stroke, only fire.

Source:

I have had heat stroke twice in my life and 2nd degree burns once. They were not related to each other in the least.

She isnt taking damage from the bonfire.  She is taking damage from her internal heat value.  That is the equivilant of heat stroke.  You're wasting time thinking of this as a bug. Its not. Its exactly how things should work because fire damage and heatstroke are two different things.

The game is modeling this properly. It should not be changed.
