Asparagus Posted January 20, 2015 Author Share Posted January 20, 2015 All we really need for a completely renewable world, though (well renewable enough, anyway) is tufts, saplings, and reeds. Well, the devs did say something about that :3(tumbleweeds... right? Or was it just a suggestion by some forumers?) hmm... so, do the tumbleweeds roam the map, randomly planting grass, saplings and such as they go? haha that sounds like a show...(harmonica plays as a tuft of grass gets left behind...) but don't the tumble weeds spawn in the desert biome? Wouldn't that mean a lot of resources drop in the desert? Or would it be like in RoG... with flowers spawning in spring... so too the grass and saplings:?:but wouldn't that like... over populate a certain area (where the player usually stick around)or would it, on map creation, take the positions of every resource (grass, sapling for ex.), check every spring if they are there or not... if not, then it will renew it/replace it... Light a tree on fire with a torch or Willow's lighter, and quickly chop it with an ax... don't wait for it to burn into a charcoal tree... You actually have to light it on fire and quickly chop it with an ax... Make sure there's nothing easily burnable in the immediate vicinity of the tree...
