rons0n Posted December 15, 2015 Share Posted December 15, 2015 (edited) I have a question regarding the New DST Clothes compatible build. When I used the old build, I would enter the spriter project with notepad++ and change the X and Y pivots of the sprite files to accommodate the character. Problem is, with this new Spriter Project, no matter how many times I change the X and Y pivots it'll still remain in the default pivot position(when previewing it through spriter). Is there a new way to go about this now? I really hope so, because this is the only way I know how to change the pivots without messing with the canvas/art. When I edit the template as your guide outlines or when I use the version of the template that does not originate from the workshop (rather the one in the .zip files for download) and I go to compile and play-test the character, I get an error like in the following log before the game asks me to disable to mod or exit the game. Right now, I have this weird problem where when I open the game to test that everything is renamed, it crashes. I looked in the game log, and apparently the only problem is that it can't find a file that's supposed to be named "esctemplate_silho". It's currently renamed wuf_silho after my character. I thought I'd just rename it esctemplate again, but when I did that it crashed and the log said it couldn't find the wuf_silho. So, I'm confused and frustrated. Any help would be really appreciated. I'm using Notepad++ by the way, and using the ShipWrecked template, and I made a folder named Wanda the Apologetic in my mods folder (which, by the way, has many many mods in it but it's always worked before), and opened modinfo.lua where I replaced the character name with Wanda the Apologetic, description with just something explaining I have no idea what's going on, replaced author's name with Stargazing and replaced the version with 1.0. Uhm... Ctrl+Shift+F, went to Find In Files, and uhm... Uhm... Lemme remember here... Uhm, I typed 'esctemplate' in the top little box, typed 'wanda' in the bottom, set destination to the folder I created earlier... And hit Replace In Files. It must have said '0 occurances replaced' but I didn't see. I did the same for the uppercase... Opened modmain.lua and it still said esctemplate. Tried this loads, re-creating folders and deleting them, trying with DST and base game DS too... I changed the name to Waverly and then Wakana, always adding 'the Apologetic' at the end... I just want to know, is that name important? Or must I go through and replace all the 'esctemplate's and 'ESCTEMPLATE's by hand? Because from what I've heard, there's a lot... I guess all I really, really want to do is mess around with the speech but I would adore creating a character and... help. Just help me please. I'm sorry but I dunno how to provide screenshots... I have made a character using the DST template a long time ago and I would like to uncompile its atlas-0 and atlas-1 anim files to use their "body parts" for the Shipwrecked template, because paddles aren't showing. Gokiburi Posted January 2, 2016 Share Posted January 2, 2016 (edited) I found that in the zip file in export there's the build.xml which has a paddle and such in the SW version but not in the RoG version (and the paddle is something that does not show up in the SW game). I tried moving the image files and changing the build.xml but it just recompiles to default everytime I start up DS :S edit: I put all the images and an updated version of the build in the zip and removed the scml so it doesn't rebuild the zip. Bingleg Posted January 3, 2016 Share Posted January 3, 2016 I tried everything and followed steps on your wonderful tutorial and video and I applied to DST.Everything is work fine till character selection but this error occurs after pick the custom character and trying to go to the the server. well.. I have no idea since there is no error log or loading screen either, just this screen (that I attached the file) comes out after pick the custom character..,, anyone got the same problem as mine?? It'll be gratefull sharing help .... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
