Can't pick up hat

Steps to reproduce

Kill a pig with a hat next to his house.

Describe your issue

I gave a pig feather hat. A few day later I killed him while he was standing next to his house. I couldn't take the hat because it was stuck in the house. So I destroyed the house with a hammer, but I still couldn't take it. My character was just trying to grab it while being right under it.
