Bhul
Greetings! Now onto my problem -- I'm having an issue updating Don't Starve, I own the expansion as well, gog.com versions, not Steam. When I download v20 (according to the updater) it will update to v22, then try to patch Don't Starve and wind up giving me the following error reports: C:\Users\Onigami\Documents\Klei\DoNotStarve\UpdaterCache\bin\dontstarve.exe failed hash validation even after updateABORTEDFile "<string>", line 1546, in <module>File "c:\jenkins\workspace\jobs\DontStarve_Release_Windows_StandAlone_DLC_HumbleDeploy\workspace\source\tools\Updater\build\updater\out00-PYZ.pyz\wx._core", line 8010, in MainLoopFile "c:\jenkins\workspace\jobs\DontStarve_Release_Windows_StandAlone_DLC_HumbleDeploy\workspace\source\tools\Updater\build\updater\out00-PYZ.pyz\wx._core", line 7306, in MainLoopFile "<string>", line 913, in OnUpdateCompleteFile "<string>", line 1009, in ShowErrorFileHashChecker( C:\Users\Onigami\Documents\Klei\DoNotStarve\UpdaterCache\bin\dontstarve.exe ): C:\Users\Onigami\Documents\Klei\DoNotStarve\UpdaterCache\bin\dontstarve.exe has hash d19b1cf720d4acc2417180512e3dd276 but expected 3b6fecc282c4c4fe89a3c19a78a17d91 I'm not sure what to make of any of it, I uninstalled and removed all traces of the game from my computer before re-downloading fresh copies to try a clean install option. Needless to say my efforts proved fruitless. Is there any knowledge about this particular conundrum, or even a temporary fix available? Aside from the obvious "re-download, re-install, don't update" option. Thanks for any assistance.
Developer Wade Posted December 1, 2014 Developer Share Posted December 1, 2014 When you run the Updater, can you try selecting the "File" option and then "Check Consistency" to see if that addresses the issue?
