meat drops "on" the ocean, unreachable

Steps to reproduce

chase a rabbit over to a shore and kill him against it. Every so often, the spoils will appear on top of the ocean

Describe your issue

Killing a rabbit next to the shore sometimes causes the meat that is dropped to appear on top of the ocean and is unreachable.

I assume this applies to anything that is dropped near the shore.
