Have the tree guard lead chase for a few days without taking a swing.

The

tree guard

slides across the screen after a while with no sound. *ninja tree guard* It only goes dormant sometimes after planting. If it swings, the steps return, but then it will go back to sliding across the screen if left to chase too long.
