(Alright.)

Even with his night vision, Alex found it difficult to navigate the pitch-black caves.  The loneliness was starting to break him down, and he kept seeing things running around just outside his vision.  It was wholeheartedly terrifying.  He had no idea how long he had been walking now; it had to be weeks at least...

A light up ahead broke his thoughts.  He had seen them before, but this was different; there were other people!

"Help!"  He called out for them, not caring whether or not they were friendly.  "Hello?"

(Hey, remember me? Remember when I left due to real life?

Name: Filbert Koehne, The Broken Life

Race: Human And Metalwork

State Of Being: Permanently Wounded

Age: 18 Years Old

Gender: Male

Backstory: A birth defect. A poor thing to happen to a life that has only begun, and, in fatal conditions, a sad waste of a life that never began. The severity of these poor attacks on infants can vary from the mild lazy or blind eye to the severe and more nightmare inducing Harlequin-type ichthyosis. Some will lose their life to these ailments before they ever start living, a sad tragedy among many, many others.

Filbert was different. When he was born, there were no discrepencies with his current state. No problem regarding his vision, his skin, nor his heart arose. For the first eight years of his life, he was considered normal by the community.

Then the xrays were shown after a physical test. (Reveal more through interactions.)

Advantages

Life Sewer

When you are practiced on what you can remember of your infancy between the blackouts and the nerve gas, you tend to only remember the methods on how to repair a disfigured person. He has already done this practice on one of his pets, Marilyn, a crow of dignity; he had repaired the snapped off wing of the poor crow by creating a false wing, made of light and malleable gold. He has also used the same method to repair the slight damage his inner workings and metalworks endure. Of course, this method is quite dangerous to use on people that are not horribly disfigured, but he is skilled enough in that you won't end up missing a kidney or a lung by the time he is finished.

A Battle Of Chemicals

Experience with the components of the world and how the implications of the powers of modest materials work gives you an advantage when left to your own devices. To put it more bluntly, Filbert can create various gases, fumes, or liquids from mundane materials such as wood or ash, although as he still a novice in this practice, the result tends to be unpredictable, even if he uses the same materials. As of now he has learned to create chemicals from burnables, such as wood or fur, and edibles, such as meat or vegetables.

Disadvantages

A Burden Of Metalworks

All the metal imbedded into a single man's skin is surely going to burden one's reaction speed and their agility and speed. True, he has lived with this weight for such a long time an his body accustomed to the new burden slightly, but nonetheless they became a literal weight on his shoulder. The more time he works, the more tired he becomes as the weight grows heavier as his strength dwindles, his stamina slowly draining away.

Personality: He is atypically adaptive, but his current state is currently giving him a depression predicament. Yes, he's still alive due to all the pipes and rubber vessels within him, but the revelation of his state of being has left him filled with self-pity and shame.

Appearance: He is more more metal than he is actual living flesh, due to his ailment. A part of his hair in the back of his head is shaved off, the skin underneath stapled back with now rusting staples; the rust of the staples might explain why he's so itchy there. His left eye is a replacement, a false stand in for his real eyes, permanently giving him a lazy eye of sorts. His right arm is compromised of complicated sheets of metal sliding over each other, the mass of it vaguely resembling an actual arm. He, for the most part, wears a large coat, made up presumeably from the parts of a plain hospital gown, over himself, mostly to conceal his metal parts.

Inventory

  • Replacement Glass Eyes (Varying Eye Colors)
  • Twenty Charcoal Filters (Replacements)
  • Flasks (Sealed With Melted Glass)
  • Marilyn (Pet Crow)
  • A Bag Of Oddities (Gold, Hammer, Screws, and Oil)

Side Notes: He will bleed internally if the metal parts on him are warped beyond repair, as they are the stand-in for the more vital organs in his arm and multitask. He may be able to repair slight damage, but once the iron is broken, he will spit blood.

I'm back.

. . .

The slots aren't all filled, are they?)
