Heat stone a little too nerfed?

I'm several days into winter and have noticed my heat stone doesn't ever reach that nice glowy red stage anymore. Leaving it by the fire pit doesn't heat it up that much. At most, I've gotten it to reach the yellow stage, even with a roaring fire. Trying to heat it while it's being carried in the inventory just gets it to the neutral (grey) stage. While I understand this might be a result of the new wetness mechanic, it seems a bit harsh when winter is almost constantly wet and cold due to the snow and wet items (such as clothes) sap sanity to the point of needing to be shed.

i do agree with this the heatstone needs a bit of a tune up. 

 

it used to be the cornerstone of winter survival for me but now i would rather put my efforts into getting a beefaloo hat or puffy vest

I suggest having the heatstone dry faster near a fire than it does now. it is a stone and should not stay that wet for such a duration as it currently does.
