What would you like implemented in this DLC?

Recommended Posts

1. Less stumps after chopping down trees.

it is frustrating digging up all stumps.

With 50 % chances, Trees doesn't left stump, but drops +1 log when it get chopped down.

Or stumps jsut disappear , as time passes, or on Loading the game.

2. Make rot in-Edible ?

When you stay very close to fire pit,

there is an overlap of drop zones for "Feeding Willson" and drop zone for "Fuelling fire pit".

Due to the overlap, Rot is easily go into willson's mouth than fire pit.

Who need to eat Rot while he is fueling ?

3. Pickup Pumpkin Lantern with Left-click.

Why willson need to attack Lantern ?

I hope, When Pumpkin Lantern perished , it drops Fire-Fly with 50 % chances.

4. a Watch (that let you know the approximately time , in Cave)

5. Balance Characters against Shadow Creature Rush in Cave.

Wendy is a bit too weak against Shadow Creatures.

With meat effigy,

Wendy have only 120 health , deals *0.75 damage, and Abigail doesn't tank/attack Shadow Creatures.

While WX-78 have 370 health and deals *1.0 damage.

To kill a Shadow Creature,  Wendy needs +33% swings , it consumes more weapon-durability

it takes +33% fighting-time for Wendy.

*Characters that you are not playing as leave some 'mark' upon the world; you can find Willows lighter for example (out of gas though!) some beard hair next to a razor, an unsual axe with 'Lucy' enscribed on it; so mention that the other character do exist

*Webber must NOT be a spider but a human turned into a spider! That is key in my perspective!

*Wickerbottom has a few new books that the other characters too can create (but her 5 are exclusive to her)

* A weapon rack, a bookshelp, a hatstand and a wardrobe

we don;t even have two hand slots though, that doesn't make sense.

It could be aesthetic and have the character hold it with two hands just for looks. It could help with an item that would otherwise look unbalanced only being held in one hand.

Two-handed Weapon sounds interesting.

But I dont think Developers have enough time to create new animation just for 2-handed weapon.

1. What we need is "Promised Pig King on World Creation"

I think Trading at Pig King is one of the important feature in the game.

If there is No Pig King on the World , It makes all grave-digger items Totally-Pointless...

and makes Grave-digging almost pointless.

Without Pig King, Player lose 2 features, "Trading" and "Grave-digging".

It's called the Teleportato. Use it and find a new King. if you plan on not sticking around due to one thing swapping trinkets/meat for gold, then even take gravedigger items instead of gold when you Teleportato, and end up with (eventually) many stacks of gold.

Well the mad science machine was already mentioned and to go with it there is this

Leonardo Da Vinci invented the sniper rifle.  Did you know that?  No kidding, in the early 16th century Leonardo Effing Da Vinci was standing on the walls of his besieged hometown of Florence, Italy, firing down at enemy soldiers 300 yards away with a custom-built wheelock rifle he had fitted with a homemade telescopic sight designed to improve accuracy and range.  He did lots of other totally sweet stuff too, of course, and it's high time we started recognizing this crazy scientific and artistic mastermind for something other than the half-insane notion that he was some kind of ridiculous Knight Templar who enjoyed constructing overly-elaborate puzzles, stealing religious artifacts, and rabbit-punching theology professors in the junkbags when they were least expecting it.

I'd like to see four distinct seasons.

Each season would take up a segment of an extended year. They would each have their own unique challenges and benefits.

Spring, it would get cool at dawn/dusk. Days would begin to become longer, and it would rain frequently. Only certain crops could grow in spring. Creatures would reproduce now; so the beefalo would go in heat, etc. Berries wouldn't be harvest-able yet, perhaps replaced with a different early season variety of berry; they could have different properties. Certain creatures would show their faces in Spring, heralding the end of winter; for example red birds would only appear now.

Summer, It would become very warm in summer. Summer would see the height of day length. Crops would grow more quickly than in any other season, opening up the opportunity to grow slower growing crops, such as corn, etc.; you would still be able to grow spring crops. Spring berries would cease production, and be replaced by their respective summer counterparts. A new assortment of creatures would appear in Summer, for example a new bird, unique to summer.

Autumn, It would begin to become cooler in autumn. A new variety of weather could be implemented here as well: windy days. It would be more difficult to keep a fire lit on a windy day/night; having windbreak near the fire would negate this effect to some degree.(this would be an easy way to make walls have a useful aspect. Birds might not be able to fly on windy days, and the wind would quickly cool off a heat stone; this could be negated with the use of a breezy vest.

A new variety of food would be seen in autumn. You would be incapable of growing summer crops, replaced with winter squashes, dragon-fruit, melons, etc. These autumn foods would have a higher shelf life, countered with a less filling aspect; you would still be able to grow spring crops. Gone are the spring/summer berries, replaced with cranberries and nuts. These could be found in a new leafy tree environment, which would change depending on the seasons. Gobblers would only appear in autumn, as would black birds. A new creature could be implemented here as well, the honey badger. This creature would break apart bee boxes/hives, eating the honey therein. It would be immune to bee stings. Squirrels might also be able to be found when harvesting from nut trees, akin to how gobblers appear. The squirrel would go about collecting fallen nuts.

Winter, the days are shortest and nights longest in winter; with temperatures plummeting. No crops grow in winter. All berry bushes lose their berries from season to season, and there will be none found come winter, the random carrots could also vanish come winter. A new variety of creatures would show themselves in winter. The hares of spring and summer lose their brown coats in favor of a winter variety. Blue birds appear. Leafy trees lose their leaves, this would creature a logical reason for a new variety of turf, which could be found in the new tree environment; a kind of leafy forest floor turf. Dusk could be shortened from its current length, and night extended more.

Other random thoughts:

Turf, if surrounded on all sides by similar turf, could re-spawn, over the course of a year; unless blocked by another turf replacing that location.

Tree growth could be modified, with the addition to plant all varieties of available trees. It would take a full years cycle to fully grow a planted tree; with a four stage growth cycle(excluding the dead into fresh tree aspect) this would mean one stage of growth per season. These tree-seeds could only be harvested from full sized trees.

Pine nuts could be harvested from pine cones; creating a faux-infinite life food item. The exploit-ability of this could be countered by having them only fill one to three hunger, and that alone; coupled with slower tree growth, I feel this would balance itself.

The boomerang is a little buggy. It has a tendency to smack you in the face should you be standing near anything that can be picked up, as your character proceeds to run to that item in place of catching the boomerang again. This could be countered, by only allowing you to receive the boomerang while standing still and with your hand on the space bar, while the boomerang is away. Alternatively, ignore this idea and leave the boomerang as it stands, arguing that launching the boomerang from a clear location is a sign of foresight and skill with its use.

New stuffed food items, with the addition of proposed new foods. Example: Stuffed acorn squash - acorn squash, cranberries, nuts, filler(of no more than one food value), in the crock pot.

Speaking of stuffing, how about a stuffed doll or two? I think it'd be a cute addition.

Modified inventory space. Allow it so that it is possible to wear an amulet while simultaneously wearing armor and a head piece. The available uses for the life giving amulet are too nuanced to ever really see use. Its sanity boosting aspect is a boon in any situation, and its ability to heal you can be both a bonus and detriment, depending on available food and health removed; potentially requiring micromanagement in order to prolong life.

However, the biggest aspect of the life giving amulet, its ability to bring you back to life should you die, is almost never seen, outside of a few unique early game type situations. Wherein you would be unlikely to see its use either way. It simply isn't a reasonable course of action, in the middle of combat, to un-equip your armor, in favor of putting on the amulet; let alone timing it to such a degree, as combat if often hectic, with many against one.

I feel the community agrees with me, to at least some extent, with the wildly popular rpg hud mods; which add such an inventory location.

I'm certain I'll think of more later.

Winter having new/improved threats. MacTusk actually going out into the world and hunting, pigs hibernating so you can't use them. Any crops you have left in the farms dying (so you can't just have nine+ dragon fruits sitting around and not rotting. Things like that.
