WalrusMan
Every time I try to play Don't Starve there is just a black screen and something pops up that says "Error during initialization."What do I do?
Craig_Perry
if you run it on steam, verify the integrity of your game cache (although I'm unsure how to do that since its been a long time)

JanH
Heya @WalrusMan, First off, turn off all mods to see if that fixes your issue. If your game still won't start, here's a link to our general troubleshooting guide which should help you fix most issues: http://forums.kleientertainment.com/topic/2494-general-game-troubleshooting-guide/ If those don't fix your issue, could you let us know your system specs (including your video card specs) and the contents of your log.txt? You can find your log.txt by going to your Documents folder at Documents\Klei\DoNotStarve\log.txt
