Six Feet Under's Puzzle Discuss Thread

This has nothing to do with solving puzzles, but this is a discussion thread, so...

Somebody mentioned (either here or in another thread) that the flowers might be Wendy's.

But look at what they are both wearing in this poster.

And then look at the new update

post-207797-0-93251800-1380349673.png

They're wilting together in the dark. Just like Charlie and Maxwell are.

I swear if this is intentional on Klei's part I am going to start flipping tables.

Ah. Also forgot to mention. I noticed that the two posters on William's walls are the posters from the puzzle updates that feature the same symbols that he's scrawled into the walls. And tacked up next to them is a parchment similar to the others with symbols in previous updates. Maybe we need to look back in order to go forward?

It's waaaay too late at night for me to do any more work on this, but I hope this helps somebody.

One last thought for the evening though.

What if the finale they were preparing for...was a disappearing act?

We've seen shadow hands drag Wilson through dimensions before.

What if Maxwell makes his lovely assistant disappear.

And he can't bring her back.

They won't give her back.

Because they want him, and they know he won't abandon her.

And as he becomes more insane with guilt he delves more and more into the book

trying to figure out how to bring her back

the crazier he gets

the stronger they become

the closer they draw

and eventually

he thinks he's finally got the right spell to bring her back

he knows that he's reached the tipping point

and if he does this, he must give himself up in return to save her

he does it anyway

he surrenders the last of his sanity and most of his humanity

and they bring her back

but she's not the same

she's charlie

but she can't stand the light

and she's not human anymore

they drag Maxwell away.

he is bound to the nightmare throne.

with the knowledge that it was his own ambition

and carelessness in dealing with things beyond his control

that did this to charlie

that did this to himself

and in the end, he was willing

to sacrifice his soul and his sanity to save her

only to turn his closest friend into a monster.

And maybe that's why William's face is scribbled out in all of the old photographs.

It was his naiveté and blind enthusiasm

his desperation for success

that doomed them both.

And because he can't stand to be the William that made those choices anymore

all that is left

is for him to be the only other person he knows how to be

the person he feels he deserves to become, after what he dragged Charlie into:

Maxwell

Sorry about the long post: I'm probably reading way too much into this. Still. Food for thought.

Still. Food for thought.

And it was quite tasty food at that, good sir. However, I don't think the symbols on the pages tell us anything particularly interesting.

Edit: Misread a word, resulting in translation error. "Insanium," meaning crazy or insane. Not "insomniam," meaning watching. My bad.

That..that was brilliant. I mean sure we have one puzzle left but when you really think about it all adds up maxwell doing something to Charlie and then sucking himself in Don't Starves World.

You've won my respect madam.

Sorry, I was trying to find the spoiler option but thanks to the new form layout I can't find it.

Okay, you find it in the third icon (it's green and blu-ish) from the upper left in the 'option-bar'. It will popup a window that want you to select BBCode and choose spoiler from there!

Now, let's not drive this more off topic!

A. There are words written on the walls, which DEFINITELY means William is possessed

B.Anyone noticed "CHARLIE" written on the walls?

 A. William has been gone for a long time. And Maxwell was never possessed.

 B. Read all the replies next time.

How do YOU know that? There could be a little bit of his old self inside of him. Plus, how can he use dark magic? and DONT say he went to Hogwarts!

Hey guys, I might be overthinking this a little bit, but I think I found some other hidden words around the dark area. I marked them in red here :

So far I can kind of read "top", "must", "zov(?)" and a weird ")" shaped symbol.

Did I go crazy yet?

Yeah, I saw that too! Maybe we're on to something...?
