Here's a writing task for ya: worldgen strings. They work by specifying a list of strings, with an arbitrary number of them. Then they are randomly chosen, shown until worldgen ends.

But I don't think we should have too many of them.

Having too many of them seems to break our worldgen screen, so I agree. :p

Nah, that could always be fixed. What I see as the real issue in having too many is that it'll be hard to express a general feeling for a cohesive whole. Depending on the random picks, the phrases may become too biased towards some topics.

We can easily change that. I personally don't like this random matching, since it restricts too much the writing to get an end result making some sense.

I think the non-sequiturs that arise from random matching are the most amusing thing about it, personally.

"Assembling Marshmallows"
"Please turn off Double Rainbows"

That stuff just makes me giggle. x3

Updated the Wolfgang quotes using info from the presentation. Will we have events to announce like the change in static?

That would be interesting.

But anyway, shouldn't this thread be untagged as "Developer only"?

Was thinking on taking suggestions for quotes from the suggestions thread, but here works anyway. I'm fine both ways.

It's more developer oriented, sure. But since we made a general move of removing the tag from the other developmental threads, I think it'd be nice to not make this the exception.

I shouldn't be liking that, since you shouldn't feel you need to ask permission to help on an open collab, specially with a fine title like Storyteller next to your name, but i like the good manners, and i love the offer! :^D

...Maybe the OP could use a little more welcoming warmth? Luggs?

Is Maxwell still in need of quotes aswell(my mobile is being iffy hence I cannot read the doc and gotta go in a bit)? If so, I could provide some dapper quotes which incorporate his personality, his background story and his origin :)
