TheThorny
Bug SubmissionPlease choose a category [Gameplay] PlatformSteamVersion Number - Issue title Unable to use SPACE to catch aggressive bees Steps to reproduce - Equip Bug Net- Make a bee angry (catch and release or harvest from a bee box while the bees are in it)- Press SPACE- Bug Net will be used as a weapon instead of catching the bees Describe your issue If you press SPACE next to a passive bee with a Bug Net equipped, you will catch the bee. If you press SPACE next to an aggressive bee (one that is already attacking you) with a Bug Net equipped, the net will be used to attack the bee instead. I was able to test this with both angry bees from a bee box and by catching a bee and then releasing it. In both instances, "ATTACK" rather than "CATCH" is the action used by pressing SPACE, even when a Bug Net is equipped in the weapon/tool slot. In order to catch an aggressive bee, I had to manually click on it.
Kami
Yup. It's rather annoying. Accidentally broke a net beating a bee to death with it. -.-
iCookBacon
Same. I always start a game with getting beehouse asap, so when I "attack" a bee with my bugnet and break it accidentally I get pretty frustrated.
karamawari
I am doubtful to consider this a bug. Gameplay-wise, this can be solved by running away until the bee is no longer aggro or angry, then try catching the bee again. It won't attack you and you won't attack it.Think of it this way, the bee is too hard to catch when it is simultaneously trying to kill you. 'Catching' a bee is like a one hit kill on a bee and angry bees coming at you become less of a threat. Then again, it is counter-intuitive that a net cannot be used as a net and suddenly becomes a clubbing stick. But since it's possible to catch it by clicking it, your argument is invalid.
Spaminator
It is a glitch, because if you CLICK on the bees while using your net, you can catch them just fine. If you use the spacebar, your net instead BREAKS and catches only one if you're lucky, then you're left spamming the spacebar for the "default" action with your bare hands which is "Attack" at that point.Whether the bees are aggressive or not is irrelevant; the issue is the net itself and the usage of the spacebar vs. the click of the mouse. Unfortunately spacebar vs. mouse-click is something of an ongoing issue for many actions. On the one hand, stop using spacebar and you won't have problems..... on the other, it's still beta - keep testing the spacebar to help find what's broken, lol.-----Wanted to add here that I just tested this on today's update, and it's still functioning the same as before - you will catch a single bee, this breaks the net in one shot and you're then unarmed if you try using spacebar with a net to catch bees.....also, holy crap, killer bees!
