Does feeding petals usally let them poop? I know they poop, when you feed them berrys, but that they should poop when you feed them petals is new to me.

Then do you think you could make it so you can't feed the pig during the waiting period, saying something like

NO ME FULL

NO HUNGRY

Basically so people don't use their things when it won't give anything

They also eat their own poo, that's maybe why you cant grab the manure. You feed them with flowers, but at the same time, they eat what they poop.

As Kevin mentioned, we've changed the behavior of the Pigs so that there is a waiting period between them giving manure when being fed. At some point, we're also planning to change their behavior so they will refuse food during the waiting period.

As for them eating their own manure, they shouldn't be doing that, so we'll..uhh..look into that. :)

Then the best way to get manure, is to drop a stack of berries on the ground close to pigman houses, they'll come eat when they are hungry, you dont have to feed them yourself. (i hope it still works, i didnt play since yesterday)

And i guess that even with the waiting period they wont eat if they are not hungry? ... right?

[...] So for example I drop berries, they eat them and poop?

I don't think this happens, perhaps you can suggest it? along with Beefalos eating turfs of grass and pooping after eating? :D

I don't think this happens, (...)

Since a week or so, i always do that to get a lot of manure... i toss 2-3 stacks of berries at their feet, then they come to eat them (and to poop).

It works! (worked? i don't know what changes the devs did recently, i'll check that right now)

Edit:

Yes it still works, they eat one berry from the stack, poop, then wander a bit until the end of the waithing period. Perfect!

I even found a funny glitch! When a pig heads to the stack of food, take it back and move... the pig follow you around, and if he reaches you the "chew animation" is triggered (but he doesnt eat the item from your inventory, nor does he poops), it seems to be a harmless glitch. (they're all fake pickpockets)

But it looks really funny, as if it eats air - forever. :D

In my case they only chew once, then walk away.

I also experienced the same bug as OP. However, this happened in an old save after the update. The pigs would eat everything I gave them but would never poop. After I started a new game the pigs eat a single petal give me poop in return but refuse to eat more for a little while.
