cheeees
So first are the starncles and clampums. It makes some sense that they don't have a seed chance since starfish and clams are animals in real life, but this is a game and it kinda feels bad that they don't give any seeds. It's weirder when for some reason pinpokets are able to give seeds even though they seem to be sea urchins. Please give clampums and starncles seed chance it would be nice to scale them, and also if possible make them able to get farmer's touch buff including pinpokets. Again they are technically animals but they work like plants in the game. Breathing stations have a storage capacity of 25kg of oxygen, not that usefull considering swiming skill increases duplicants breath, please increase the oxygen storage so one breathing station is enough, instead of needing multiple. Another thing is pokeshells. Are they REALLY needed? In the DLC biome at least. They don't seem to do much of anything and they kill any critter that spawned near them when they lay an egg. And at least regular pokeshells don't seem to add that much. They give lime and that's good. But the DLC added a lot of lime you can get easily withouth pokeshells. Sloggos have the similar mechanic of giving molts for lime. Beakons excreate lime. The reef biome has lots of coralium, that's just free lime with the only things needed being a rock crusher. I don't really see why pokeshells spawn in the beach biome (the starting one) because of the many ways to get lime the DLC added and the fact that ocean biomes still spawn in the Marinea asteroids. And for sanishells is another, "why", sanishells like pokeshells are going to kill the critters they spawned with and don't synergize with the same biome they spawn. All the water from the reef biome is salt water, so they will eventually lay a pokeshell egg. My suggestion is to remove the pokeshells from the beach biome and move the sanishells from the reef biome to the beach biome, since the beach biome has water for them to keep laying sanishell eggs. I think that after doing the "Finding Minnow" quest. You get her as a recruit but you don't get anything displayable in pedestals or shelfs. And speaking of Minnow, maybe some changes can be done to her?. Her having more breath is ok and has some niche uses but kinda wish she had something more like Jorge. Also, the pop-up when recruiting her said that she will be usefull to build things under water, but ironically when I recruited her for the first time she had unconstructive as a trait. And now for things that don't really matter Sloggo babies don't have a moisture meter. For some reason ovolene has the same bottle brackene has, and squid ink doesn't have a special bottle. The fish feeder doesn't show pearls, it instead shows that green circle. And finally; the beta added a BRAND NEW cuisine skill in the skilltree. It doesn't do much, it's just a +2 cuisine but the best thing it does is giving an AMAZING™ hat. The problem begins when bionic duplicants with a grilling booster can't get the cool hat, giving us a peek into the inequalities bionics have in the post apocaliptic duplicant society. Twiki
I think the pokes are in there specifically for sand generation to make them work with clams. For me, the weird one is the radioactive biome. It takes up space that could be abyss, which makes squids so rare that my map had zero. I guess it's there to give an option for rads, but it doesn't fit the world at all. I mean yeah pokeshells give sand, but so do sanishells, and surpridingly in a more effecient convertion ratio, Sanishells give 2/3 of mass consumed as sand unlike pokeshells that give 1/2 of mass consumed as sand. And sanishells can be used more effitiently for food too. And yeah completely agree that the radioactive biome shouldn't be at the bottom, removing it kinda locks people from material resarch, so moving the radioactive biome closer or directly beneath the surface seems like an easy fix. The timing of my posts and beta updates is so goofy. Starnacles and Clampums now give seeds. lol Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/171908-random-things-about-the-aquatic-planet-things-and-some-visual-things-that-dont-really-matter-that-much-but-i-find-it-funny-to-say-them-anyways/#findComment-1869684 Share on other sites
