Hi,

After trying out the Aquatic DLC I wanted to praise the Tidal Spring/Tidal Turbine. This is a truly unique source of early game power that plays very differently than the other early game power generators (coal generator, wood burner, and peat burner). The two main reasons it plays differently:

1. Tidal Turbine requires a gasket to construct. The map spawns one free gasket so that players can construct one Tidal Turbine fairly easily but then cannot scale them without first researching a bunch of the tech tree and setting up rubber production.

2. All of the other early game power generators consume resources and therefore motivate researching smart batteries as soon as possible. The Tidal Turbine doesn't motivate rushing smart batteries and incentivizes other tech sooner (e.g. vulcanizer for rubber production).

So overall these are fantastic design choices with the Tidal Spring/Tidal Turbine.

That said, I do think the spawn rate is much too high. On my map there are approximately 10 Tidal Springs within a 50 tile radius of the printing pod. Late game all of that neutronium will frustrate players trying to setup clean runs of conduits/ladders/fire poles/transit tubes/etc. I would suggest reducing the spawn rate to 1/3rd or 1/4th of what it is now, and/or avoiding neutronium underneath them while making the tidal spring itself demolishable.
