Dugley
Backwalls are a fun new feature, I'm a big fan of them. My only gripe with them is that they cannot be dug out after you build tiles on top of them, and you can't dig them out immediately since they require hard digging 1. My recommendation is one of 2 things: 1: Allow them to be dug out even when behind a tile. This allows us to clean them up without having to deconstruct half the base. 2: cause them to automatically 'dig' when a tile is built over top of them. This happens already with tempshift plates and drywall. Implementing one or both of these would be a huge QOL of life improvement. It is tedious and unfun to deconstruct all my built tiles to dig them out, and I enjoy having a clean empty base. You can see the backwall behind my farms, I don't want to deconstruct my farm tiles to get rid of this backwall. Amari is disappointed. 3 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/171684-backwalls-cannot-be-dug-when-behind-a-built-tile/ Share on other sites
suicide commando
I'd love it if they would also change how the dig command is executed. If I say 'dig tiles and backwalls' on, and then order them to dig out a tile with a backwall, I'd like them to do both in succession, so I don't have to come back and give another command to dig out the backwall. 1 Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/171684-backwalls-cannot-be-dug-when-behind-a-built-tile/#findComment-1868258 Share on other sites

Full agree, having to do a second dig command after the first is finished is tedious. Allowing backwalls to be targeted when they still have a normal wall over them fixes this issue. My approach would be a bit different from yours, I'd probably be doing 1 command with only normal walls checked at a higher priority, and a second dig command with only backwalls at a lower priority.
