Another possible solution to Deadly Brightshade invasion and Rift spawning in your base: "Lunar Repellents".

We could be able to craft a structure that works like a repellent in the base, if we place that in one area it would repel the Deadly Brightshade and block the  Rift from spawning in a big range around the new structure. We could use the new materials(Pure Brilliance and Brightshade Husk) to craft it and put it all around our base and importante areas to protect them from the invasion.  It woud give us a solution without change how this new content works. 

Soulves the base destruction, brings a new chalenge and a new useful item. It would make us really want to farm the Pure Brilliance and Brightshade Husk. 

You bring a new challenge and a new solution.

I love this idea, and this part specfically.

It still allows the threat to exist in the first place, and during the first few times, whilst also adding a way to prevent them WITH their own drops. I love that!
