Maxwell’s Challenge Gate is Still Broken

I’m playing on the Xbox One version. This version has the same problem as the PS4 version. When you find all the pieces for the gate during Maxwell’s challenges the gate doesn’t activate until you save and exit and continue.

I know the game is old by now but it’s such a glaring error to leave alone, on multiple consoles no less.

I apologize. I’m mistaken. The machine works as intended after you insert the divining rod into its placeholder. I can’t remember this detail back when I played the ps4 version. The solution I looked up at the time said that I had to save the game and continue to make it work. Granted this still works if you don’t put down the divining rod
