Suggestions (Backpacks and houses)

It would be nice to add a craftable backpack in the game. A lot of time I had my inventory full and I couldn't carry no more items :).

It would be very cool also to give the possibility to build your own house, in which you shall enter and craft some furniture.

The one thing I keep thinking about is having a backpack. I would gladly welcome more inventory space at the expense of running speed or something like that.

Well the house could open up a couple different tech trees. One for a workshop and crafting implements (or maybe the tools to craft boards, nail etc instead of magically having them appear) and the other for household items. I will say that as a cook I'd love to be able to craft knives, appliances, stoves, ovens and the like.

I agree that backpacks would be a great addition. Inventory management is fine in the early game, but becomes a nightmare after you've set up and some more advanced materials are introduced.

How about this? Expanded equipment slots for a secondary tool and two bags. One would be a backpack and the other would be some kind of pouch. Secondary tool would be accessed through right clicking, and the bags would open an additional inventory window on the right side of the screen (or wherever).

The bags might have several craftable tiers. Tiers could progress through the materials available, from grass/rope to beefalo hair/beefalo rope, and up to silk. Each additional tier would add say 2 bag spaces over the previous one.

A am fully for a backpack, it would have to cost a lot, but a bit of extra inventory space would be very welcome. The house could be and end game product, a way to basically finish the game and build yourself a safe life on the island.

I keep hearing people talk about backpacks (I admid, I did that on my first day on the forum too iirc, not in an unnecessary suggestions thread that I created for that if I might add!), but backpacks actually are kinda boring. Kevin mentioned, as cpt already said, that there is some cooler stuff on the way.

if you ask me, I'd love to see something like in terry pratchett disc world, a chest with hundreds of little legs, walking behind you!

if they do it even more like "the luggage", it could also help you with trees and stones :D or eating those nasty spiders that get too close...

Or it could pick up our things that fall to the ground, like wood and pines or grasses whatever hehe

So I do not need to bend over and I catch me a lumbago hahaha

Sure, something cooler would totally be welcome. Backpack "idea" is always welcome to expand to better and cooler alternatives so long as the end result is we can carry a few more things! I look forward to seeing what the devs have up the sleeves.

Now, was this a random find or do you read Discworld? :)
