RAM: 2x8GB (1600Mhz)

CAS: 16/18/18/38/73

Release build of Spaced Out.

good time you have there from old 5600x , are you sure your memory is 1600Mhz tho ?

I'm not sure if anyone is still interested, but just got my new PC and ran the banchmark (without a reset and while installing windows updates and satisfactory  I just couldn't wait)

105 seconds

Intel 12700KF

RTX 3070 TI

DDR5 40/40/40/76 6000MHz 2X16GB

Samsung 980 1T NVMe 2.0 (gen 4)

I assume that if ran on a clean non-busy setup I would get 100 or very close

Edit: Ran it again without installations in the BG (still not a 100% clean run though) and got down to 102-103

i think there is not possible go 100 sec with this test, it looks there is some-sort game bug what freezing  the game

Well, yeah - probably should have put 3200 - it's dual channel 1600, so however you want to roll it.

215 seconds (Windows 10)

200 seconds (Ubuntu 18.04)

AMD Threadripper 1920X@ 3500MHz

GTX 1080Ti

DDR4 15/15/15/36/51 1066MHz 4X8GB

Samsung 850 Evo 1TB

that is interesting, you get 15 sec boost at linux

but as you using AMD Threadripper, it clearly shows that this game is not focusing at multi-thread at all

I recently built a new computer partially motivated by this benchmarking exercise. I got really into the overclocking and maximization process, so I put in some extra details in case anyone was looking for some inspiration.

Time: 105.16

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800x

GPU: RTX 3070 (MSI Gaming Z Trio) [Bought on the Newegg shuffle ^_^]

Memory: G.skill Trident Z Neo 3600 2x16Gb 16-16-16-36-52 @ 1.35V (Model F4-3600C16-16GTZN)

Storage: MSI SPATIUM M470 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 2TB

Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro V2

Case: Lian Li Lancool II Mesh

CPU Cooler: Lian Li Galahad 360 AIO

Some other notes: I overclocked the CPU and GPU pretty heavily. If anyone cares, the stats for the overlock on the CPU are below.

For the CPU overlock, I did a PBO2 per core negative curve with a PPT, EDC, TDC of 150, 200, 100 respectively. I had a boost clock of 150 Mhz with a 3x scalar. The cores from 0 to 7 were at these negative offsets: -30, -25, -20, -30, -30, -30, -20, -30. There is also a unicorn vomit amount of RGB, which is likely where the speed really comes from.

not a bad time from low cost i3-12100F

Thanks to AMD & Apple kicking Intels ***... :boxing: Intel`s $130 budget cpu, the i3 12100F, is a nice buddy :beguiled:

If you get it for ONI, I recommend to deactivate the 4 virtual cores and to run it as a true 4 core cpu. :adoration:

I just saw and read the previous comments, nice budget choice dear @tenbata :ghost:

Feels a bit like the competitive cpu times 20 years ago, finally some real movement in the market.

yeah that is true, its like almost in old days that when amd kick the intel with low price ,now seems like intel answers them back with same method.

i3-12100F is not the best tho and i still not recommend, simply because if you todo more than just game then it may not be en-oh

but if price matters then yeah why not.

bad part about Intel is we not know actually how much matters the motherboard, as they keeping release new sockets all the time with they new controller like z690

IMHO the good performing low price cpu should shake up the entire cpu market in 2022, so next Xmas should be nice.

amd does start releasing 5 ghz cpu for all they cores so yes 2022 will be interesting, even tho intel is top atm but i feel like they fall down allot when amd releasing they new cpu. but then again allot people matters also price so even if they release, not many may interested  when price is high

there is one good thing tho about that i3-12100F , it does using low power what means they could use that also for laptops

there is one thing tho, should be the 5800x better than 5600x ?  because one user get the 106 sec when he overclocking with 5600x

maybe because you not overclock memory self that's why you get similar results

maybe you could use same like him have for memory 16 16 16 28 42 290 (Trfc) Command Rate 1  ?

i think you not need overclock gpu for this game

Thank you all. I was surprised that it performed better than I expected.

Changing the CPU allocation in Task Manager did not help much, so I had to disable HTT in the BIOS. I made the change as you suggested and it was an additional half second faster.

[BFB: max]

Time: 104.8

[BFB: max, Intel HTT: disable]

Time: 104.2

It seems that for FPS, 12400F and above is suitable, and for creative use, more core is better. I think it was a good decision to save the cost of the cpu and use it to buy other components, as it is sufficient for my use.

I don't imagine there is a substantial difference between a 5800x and a 5600x for ONI. You're probably also correct that gpu o/c has no affect on performance whatsoever. I'm pretty sure the fans don't spin on the gpu half the time.

When I started doing memory overclocking, I got so insanely bored halfway through that I gave up. And resetting cmos on my desktop takes pulling out the monstrously large gpu which makes any high instability a 10 min fix.

you to have 1 sec better tho, statistic shows that 5800x does have 3% higher 1 core than 5600x,  this 3 % give you that 1 sec. he does overclocked memory as well and you not so yeah it looks like 5800x is better in general
