In Russian, all nouns have a gender ending, regardless of what they mean, including inanimate objects. Both the words "cup" and "potato" are feminine for as. This is absolutely useless information, but hey, you asked for some reason. *shrugs*

The potato genders include:  chips (crisps), fries (chips), hash browns, latkes, mashed, boiled, baked and of course raw.  The potato cup appears to be uncooked, so its gender is probably Raw. 

As to whether that corresponds to more masculine or feminine in human terms...I have no idea, it's a potato. : P
