Oxygen Not Included Roadmap February 2020

my ideas:

new room: kitchen: (96 tile)

animal, industrial machines = food poisoning

cutting board (manual) / mixer (automatic) -> bin (-> compost (dirt) / waste crusher (automatic) -> …

ceramic plate -> dirty plate (food poisoning) -> kitchen sink (manual) / dishwasher (automatic)  -> waste crusher  ->…

 (no plate = food poisoning)

chef clothing

chess floor (decor bonus, ceramic)

kitchen cabinet (plate, cup, bottle) – micromanagement - shared or unique

ceramic cup, glass bottle

convection oven (oxygen,energy) -> hot polluted oxygen -> cooker hood (coal filter) -> hot oxygen,…

fire extinguisher system

 

New mechanism

Healthy eating (meat, vegetables, fruit) – new foods mixed dishes (no more bbq)

new plants and new foods

 

fruit tree -> Mixer + cup -> juice ( buffs (speed, moral, vitamin etc.)

coffee bean -> coffee machine + cup -> coffee (sleeping time -1) -> dirty cup (food poisoning)

grape - > wine press -> barrel -> wine in a barrel (<10-15°C (cellar) -> glass bottle (glass forge) -> food storage -> dirty bottle (food poisoning)

hop, barley, malt -> brewer -> beer (moral bonus) ->

fruit -> fruit mash -> Distillers -> Distillers -> Pálinak / whisky (Barrel?) (moral bonus)

 

new skill

Gardener (Farming III) fruit tree, grape, flowers,bonsai coffe bean, new walls etc. -> Plant geneticst (Farming IV, req Field Research) Plant genetic resources station (Garden cloche)

Master Chef (Grilling III) - convection oven, new foods, etc.

Brewmaster (Req Grilling II)

Librarian -> Pressman -> Typographer (Library room)

 

new design elements

color mixer machine (flowers) + plastic bucket = paint bucket

colorful wallpapers (room background, wall tile (wood, ceramic, glass, stone etc.)

bonsai ( decor bonus, water, req. Gardener)

Plant genetic resources station (new seeds, tree type, random properties)

Garden cloche (req. energy, genetic resources, slow)

supercomputer upgrades (upgrading instruction)

new room: PUB (downtime, req. bar counter, table ,alcohol source)

bar counter

Cant wait to grab your DLC. Love your game so much.

Hopefully include this

1. Reduce lag on everyday by lazy load / pre-load would give seemless experience to user  e.g. assassin creed [I understand how much effort to take]

2. Rename the duplicants on skill windows. I likely to name duplicant by expertise and auto named whould be nice and can SELL as DLC which I would buy it. Also sort duplicant by attribute to help manage skill and priority and NAME.[this would take lower effort but more to experience from user]

3. ITS 2020 Steam Cloud Sync pls may be patial save e.g. every 10 - 20 cycle and manual save

you should've put any debris into storage in early game at stable temperate room ( recommended )
debris temperature does make your game lag (EVERY GODDAMN TIME !!!!!) so i try to manage my debris everytime i started a new world.

i got crashed after 2 cycle in beginning of my save file, it also take so long to load the entire world.
can't put all debris in 2 cycle before crash so i activate the sandbox mode instead manually duplicate labor (the feel man....)

man i'm sure this game is a beast game, this can be solved by multi thread

Its not a bug. Its intended behavior. A tile can hold either gas or liquid, never both. And then there is the minimum amount of liquid needed before a building becomes flooded and stops working. Both systems combined result to this "feature".

And if you dont like this, just dont use it. There is no problem here, that needs to be fixed at all.

Firstly, don’t justify crutches in the code like its idea of developers and thereby justify your favorite legal cheat. This bug is easily fixed - if the valve is flooded - do not let liquid or gas pass. And there will be no endless repositories, which, like all infinite ones, are an obvious cheat, and allow abusing game mechanics in a game in which there are too many free resources.
All bugs should be fixed, if you can’t play without bugs - these are your problems, put yourself 10 more mods on free resources, but the vanilla game should be honest with the players.

When the valve is flooded, it does not let gas out. But it is not flodded, when there is just a bit liquid. This is also true in the real world. A vent would still pump gas into a room, even if its half filled with water. (as long as the pipe connected comes from above and not below)

And again. If you dont like to use it, just dont use it. Keep your valve dry, and move on. I dont see your problem. Its not a competitive multiplayer game. Everyone should be able to play as he/she wants to. Who are you to force others to play like you say its the right way?

If I was interested in the opinion of cheaters, I would write like that - hey please every bug abuser, feel free to comment on my message. Who are you to break into someone else's conversation and say what is right and what is not? Go fill your message counter in other topics, kkthxbye

My guy...this is a video game. There's plenty of mechanics and other things in ONI that don't exist "in the real world", but they're still there because of gameplay and balance reasons.

This "bug" you're referring to is more of a flaw in the way the element system works. Only one element can exist in one tile at a time, and if you put a small enough amount of a liquid like water down where it doesn't fill up the tile, it'll cause a conflict in the system that results in infinite storage. Something like this could be an easy fix...or it could be something that is a fundamental issue and cannot be fixed without scraping the entire element system, which is basically the foundation of the game. Unless you want is so that any liquid no matter how small the amount completely fills up a tile...which is even more absurd than the infinite storage. :wilson_ecstatic:

If i would write, what i usually write to such toxic people, KLEI would be really sad, and i dont want them to be sad. So i dont. 

So, feel yourself beeing stared at. Very very stared. And then imagine me walking away from you, shaking head with a mournful expression on my face.
