house Expatiation won't let me expand on the north wall

I've been trying to expand my house on the northern wall, the same one you put the shelves and mounts, you get the idea. I find it that when i put a door down and try to expand my character will just enter a walking animation on top of the door and won't expand on the door I don't know if this is intentional or not. but expands everywhere else i see no problems. also when i demolish the door the oinks get stuck in the wall and i haft to use a lazy forager to pick them back up.
