  • Updated in-game patch notes
  • Improved building description on the Beach Chair
  • Improved animations for the balloon "reciever"
  • Improved animations for the balloon "giver"
  • Updated Korean, Chinese, and Russian translations
  • Balloon Artist sound effects added
  • Carpets now give better decor and a stress reduction effect, but also slow down movespeed somewhat.
  • Updated Hot Tub artwork
  • Balloons are now hard attached to the duplicant they're following, and sync animations with that duplicant.
  • Recreation buildings no longer get light efficiency bonuses.
  • Duplicants no longer sound like they're dying when using the Mechanical Surfboard
  • Added Balloon Artist sound effects
  • Attempted fix for duplicants getting stalled at the end of a construct or dig for a few seconds.
  • Duplicants now become overjoyed when coming back from a space tourist trip
  • Stickers are now selectable.
  • "Sticker Type" is now tied to Duplicant personality  of Stickerbombers
  • Updated Mechanical Surfboard artwork
  • Fix UI staying disabled but visible if in screenshot mode when timelapser kicks in
  • Somewhat reduce the usage time of the Beach Chair
  • Several of the rec buildings now have a de-stressing effect. Beach chair provides sleep as well.
  • Hook up athletics-based anims for the surfboard.
  • Telescope doesn't show status warning for no starmap analysis target if all targets already analyzed
  • Hooked up new facial expressions for Sparkle & Balloon
  • Loading a world with no starmap target will put telescopes in an active state while researching nothing.
  • Hooked up proper Sticker Bomber movement animations
  • Balloon Artists will always run to their target location
  • Adjusted how the balloon giver interaction works
  • The balloon can no longer be unequipped

Thanks for that one. :D  While watching them stall after every deconstruct was entertaining in its own way, I'm super glad that this seems to be gone (5 cycles in and plenty (de)constructs w/o problems).

I'll take the risk to repeat myself and to be invasive, but there's still several bugs that make ONI losing credibility. 

- the turbine heat deletion bug

- the fast heat exchange between insulated tile and debris that are standing over it.

- the deletion of materials that are piled as number (max 100) and not as a weight (max 25t) (f.e. : lumber, reed fiber, ...) when the pile is going over 100.

- the gas deletion bug (that is succeeding to the matter conversion bug, now solved).

This is not exhaustive. That's the first coming into my mind as tired as I am. But some are dragging over a long time and are very crippling.

I do notice the high number of bug you're solving, regularly, and your investment into the bug report forum, but mainly you're solving bug that has been brought by new features. 

Some "big" bugs are making ONI totter, and I think need some priority revaluation...

 

By the way, your update sounds really good and I truly think it will bring a lot of fun into ONI's gameplay. Please, keep surprising us :)

@Ipsquiggle

Having a hell of a time getting the Job Suitability achievement on Steam. Everyone has been suiting up for their entire day and no achievement 15 cycles later. I'm lead to understand that only dig/build jobs count. Can you please change this so the achievement works for all tasks, including sweep, power (hamster wheel), etc. as the achievement text indicates when it says any chore will work?

Wouldn't this mean the best solution is still metal floors but now you put a single carpet tile at certain intervals to refresh the stress reduction buff whilst minimising the move speed penalty?

Technically, yes. But you can use them as walls and ceiling just fine and still have the decor bonus. Most of the floor should be made out of metal for max efficiency.

Pretty much, though depending on the location I'll probably still prefer Window Tiles (diamond) over Metal Tiles to let the decor bonus from adjacent rooms shine through. Not to mention that I personally have little use for the stress reduction buff, even in my max setting colonies.
