I've been playing Zelda: Wind Waker randomizer, and it's been super fun! I had part of this where I had to get the delivery bag from a lava filled dungeon just to deliver a letter only to have a postman give me bombs. Godhan, the boss of the Tower of the Gods, gave me the light arrows, which are one of the essential items to beating the game in this randomizer. This involved a chain of checks, starting with lorenzo's assistant sidequest(involving the picto box) which got me a very long sought wallet upgrade. Getting said wallet upgrade triggered a letter from beetle's rock spire shop ship, which gave me Din's Pearl, the last pearl I needed to access the Tower of the Gods. I then proceed to full clear Tower of the Gods, picking up the Deluxe Picto Box from one chest, and the other wallet upgrade from the Command Melody slate, making that other wallet upgrade required in order to progress. And of course, defeating Godhan, the boss of the dungeon, he proceeds to sneeze out the light arrows shown above in the cutscene that is played when he is defeated. Terra B Welch Posted December 15, 2019 Author Share Posted December 15, 2019 So I beat the wind waker randomizer seed last night and have gone back to sevtech for a little while. I reached level 30 in Astral Sorcery and have respec'd into my final perk build. Firstly, I have 24 armor class, or 12 shirt icons(note a suit of diamond armor is 20 armor class or 10 shirt icons.) without any armor equipped at all. As for my perks, it's mainly perk effectiveness but here's a few of the major perks I've spec'd into. It's discidia root with vorux focus, and I did branch off slightly into the amara tree for a few armor perks. This will be my final perk build for the rest of my sevtech playthrough. Beat the creeps first try. I was playing Vampyr and there is no quick travel, so I encounter at least 16+ enemies moving from one big area to the next. Terra B Welch Posted January 20, 2020 Author Share Posted January 20, 2020 So I recently completed my 3rd Wind Waker randomizer seed, and due to a very late grappling hook, it ended up being the seed where I did the least checks, and had alot less hearts for puppet ganon and ganondorf. Heres the end stats of the run, note how many checks I had on the tracker due to the grappling hook being literally the last item I found before go mode. I play with all checks enabled for anyone curious, I like long rando playthroughs, I do kinda wish this one was longer... That's the sad thing about literally getting the grappling hook as my last required item for go mode, no reason to do checks with it, and my time with it is short lived. Wind Waker Randomizer is fun, anyone who remembers that game and would like a fun new twist on it should give it a go, theres all kinds of options in the randomizer program that can be configured, so you can have the run you want! Canis Posted January 24, 2020 Share Posted January 24, 2020 I guess I can dump some of my recent Terraria shenanigans here as I've been completely engulfed in the game (again). My witch hut, where I have my spawn and make potions. Spoiler Yes, my character is Witch B_tch. I had no other ideas for a mage character. If you kill Spazmatisim first, get Retinazer into it's second phase, and then hide in a box, all it will do is menacingly float around you. God, the Meteor staff is so good. Besides from potions, this thing carried me through all three mechanical bosses on Expert. I did have a hiccup when I ran out of mana pots. Twice. Once on Destroyer and once on Skeletron Prime. Now I make an effort to have *too many* mana pots, just to be sure. Spoiler In case yall are getting back into Terraria (because that is commonplace with the 1.4 hype) here is my list of pots that I used for each boss fight, in this expert mode playthrough with mage. For everything prehardmode, just rock ironskin, regen pot, and mana power pot, you'll *probably* be fine. When Hardmode activates, I used basically this for each mechanical boss: - 2 Ironskin Potions - 2 Regeneration Potions - 2 Endurance Potions (10% less damage taken, made with armored cavefish caught in the cavern layer) - 2 Wrath Potions (10% more damage done, made with ebonkoi caught in the corruption. The crimson equivalent is a rage potion that instead gives crit chance.) - 4 Mana Power Pots (They only last 2 minutes compared to the rests' 4 or 5, so I bring more.) I suggest bringing 2 of each (4 in case of mana power pot) because your first fight with the mechanical bosses will probably take the entire duration of the night, save for 1 or 2 minutes. Again, keep in mind this info is suited for expert. In normal mode, all that's really needed is ironskin and regen, you'll be fine. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
