Mindkontrol
Question for the Beefalo tamers out there, once domesticated.. Could I setup a couple of salt licks and then just leave my Beefy at the base for long periods of time without fear of losing Domestication? Say, if I wanted to head into the ruins for a season? NSAiswatchingus
Yupp. I leave my beef in a fairly wide pen with 6-10 salt licks in it every Summer. By the time I return to the surface for Autumn the beef will have consumed maybe 1.5 salt licks. Dont be stingy with the salt licks. It may only take 2 to keep your beefalo domesticated through a season, but beefalo wander and might get outside of the range for the salt licks. It's best to leave your beefalo surrounded by salt licks.
Rogueagent01
@NSAiswatchingus your Beef is on a diet, i've got anywhere from 8 to 10 salt licks and by the end of a season there are only 2 or 3 left. It might be because i have a chubby one.

First off, every beef is beautiful. 2nd, it's more that I want to hunger rate shame the chubby beefs. The fatness is just huggable side effect of the unfortunate hunger rate. Dynamix_Roxx
I think a salt lick takes 15 days for 1 beefalo to consume. I had 3 tamed beefalo and couldn’t keep them over a summer. I came back and my tamed beefalo were mating.
