All recipes that can be made from available map resources would be visible, but stuff that isn't available wouldn't be visible, to avoid 'confusing newbies'. If a non-map resource becomes available, the recipe would become visible. Basically, if you generate a world without pacus, no pacu recipes would be visible. No gold? No gold recipes. This would be independent from whatever you've mined up. Alternately, have a new world gen setting that forces all recipes to be visible from the start, and can also be enabled during gameplay. Then each time you take one it should update the recipies in case you got a resource you didn`t have before.
