*Notice the nice geometry eye-candy* :distracted:

*Stare at the magma pool on the top of the base * :distant:

*Wonder what could happen if a destructive duplicant break some tiles* :dejection:

*Internally scream in german* :grief:

*Externally* : I love your base and the way you incorporate the different geysers in your design :)

Thanks. The Magma Pool has two border tiles. Normally! Thanks for your point. I have forgotten to build the second border on the left side. :o A dupe must be destroy both to start the disaster. But sure, it is possible :D

Unfortunately, the energy production is missing on the screen (Too small to see it). On top of the base is the Liquid CH4/O2/H2. The Methan(CH4) Production cool the entire Methan Power buildings from -60C till -10C. So frosty there. I use the same Methan Chamber to freeze (Steam) or liquefy (methan/sourgas) the steam/methan from the bottom of the map. The Oil biome is full of steam. I freeze it in the chamber and use it later to cool the salt water geyser.

At the bottom is the Petroleum&Ethanol power field. I use the hot P-Water for the Pinchas. My phosphorite production is still not enough to satisfy all buildings (Pinchas/Wheezeworts). Haven't count it, but there are round about 60 Pincha plants. 3 complete drecko ranches with at least 7 dreckos each in there. 14 normal dreckos and 7 glossy dreckos.

When my savegame runs again (currently broken after the update yesterday) I can post some pics of it if you want. Not all sections are finished yet. Few of them need to expand or to rebuild a bit.

I like to view by myself others bases. I saw some interesting things. And sometimes I found a easier solution (No exploit!) for a problem as I used before. Have a nice day.

Probably not really base-porn, but this is my first base that survived for like more than 60 cycles (though I'm definitely running into issues with my coal consumption and have not quite figured out how to use other resources for energy production...). Used the miscalculated pod-location trait (on launch_preview), and didn't realize until waaaaaay too late that oil was all the way down (this is my current goal, along with 'utilize the nat gas geyser and get enough plastics to build a steam turbine before the Cool Steam Geyser erupts again xD

135 cycles, 15 dupes.

My eyes is bleeding seeing your magnificent base. what tools do you use to make shape like yours? mind to share what tools, tricks and dedications you poured into it?;) please.

It's pretty much all MS Paint.

Be aware, though, that MS Paint circles aren't always symmetrical.

Curves are easiest to remember as a sequence of numbers. If you can remember one eighth of it, you can repeat the sequence another 7 times to complete the circle. For instance, a diameter 52 circle is "5, 4, 2, 2, 1, 2, 1, 1".

I also unlocked sandbox right at the start of the game, revealed the map, and used the measurements in the dig tool to find the centerline of the map so I could orient my base around it rather than around the printing pod.

Here's mine, from early QoL 3 (I haven't had much time to play). 6-dupe only. It's not much, but it's home.

As you can see, I never outgrew my tendency to leave abyssalite alone, from all the way back in the Thermal upgrade. I've left 99% of it untouched. Makes for very awkward builds :p

Can't help myself but find the abyssalite structures strangely pleasing. Especially the way they divide the biomes makes for a nice colour-separation.

Also, is it just me or does that second-to-uppermost abyssalite structure look like a stick figure running/dancing? :wilson_ecstatic:

huh, weird xD

To me it looks like a a-bit-wonky creature looking downwards, possibly staring at a phone in their hands as they're walking... or something xD (for a visual explanation, see the spoilercut)

(sorry for the wonky writing, couldn't find my drawing tablet quickly (and am supposed to be studying regardless)

I squeezed everything I could into this colony without sacrificing aesthetics, but I'll have to go back to the drawing board with all the new toys coming in the Launch Upgrade.

I really love this layout, mind sharing some other pics, like water flow, gas flow and convayor overlay? :D

I prefer my dupes to do most of the labor themselves, so there isn't anything worth looking at on the conveyor overlay.  If there's anything else you want to see, let me know.

Sorry I'm late on this (again).

Here's the temperature overlay.  Note that I abandoned a liquid cooling system before calling it quits on the base, so climate control is rather crude.
