until you try to sieve PW below -3C and if a new player, have no idea why there is water always on the floors ans pipes keep breaking.

The mintemp is set to 0, don't worry ;) Oops, I was wrong, looked deeper now and 0 means that min temp is disabled - so it doesn't have min temp.

That's the way I read it. Of course, I'm at work so I can't test it...

Input 24.3c, Output 24.3c, ambiant temp 21c (Water Sieve too)
Something weird anyway, the Water Sieve is not using sand anymore.

Edit: Okay, there's an infinity 'Awaiting Delevery' for sand but still processing pHo to water indefinitly

Read further, made a basic mistake.

So that still leaves things unclear.  We were guessing that the temp of the sand was playing into things and if it isn't currently using the sand we don't know if it is true or not.

This way of doing things, going overboard, causing turmoil, then reacting, reminds me of the Blizzard way.

The old Blizzard. Not the "don't you have a phone?" Blizzard. And also the "those who defected and made LoL" way.

Well done. You also managed to turn the forum into a game of sorts. It has entertainment value.

This is going to be one of the best games ever. /slowclap again.

this information seems not true: https://i.gyazo.com/d784eda49e14a024198d6c188daedd9d.mp4

Sieves consum sand.
Sand will be delivered to sieves, by dupes and by autosweaper. without sand the sive does not work.
everything works as always. beside input temp = output temp

well they fixed it over a holiday as well as rolled back the main changes so we could play over the weekend.  Not sure what your toxic comment means.  Also as it is not the Release version of the game and its the test beta branch you could just sit in the stable release and wait for next stable release if dealing with bugs annoys you.

After Rereading your comment I realize what you are saying.   Good blizzard not the new evil activision blizzard?  I see what what I think you mean now.

Can´t test right now, so did someone test the extreme cases?

  • Polluted water <0°C     = ???
  • Polluted water >100°C = ???  [Or make it 103°C to overcome the boiling temperature.]

And maybe even some results for the influence of the filtration medium.

I think about >200°C regolith here ;)

I have 1156 hours in this game. My post was a sincere appreciation of the dev's work.

Your reply, and this reply probably, only adds to the "entertainment value" of the forum ;)

Got the opposite result actually running on my screen, so something still wrong in the code :

Already process like 500kg of water, still 500kg of sand in the WS, and 0 heat transfer to liquid.

steam was generated and the pipes broke. dupes got injured.

Bonus question: -20°? 8753d023256329b1488c0d16810b4103.png

The unintended icemaker!

I hope the debate is now over and all the false information will die like germs in chlorine

Yeah apologize me, I went to fast to destroy an old bathroom loop and plugged the wrong side. Was too excited i guess!
So actually Water Sieve DO CONSUME sand/regolith. Anyway processing +473K (200c) regolith trought it, heating is unreavelant.

Awesome. I totally missed that. This will amuse my wife to no end. :D

And for anyone that doesn't recognize my profile pic, look up the Alpha Legion in Warhammer 40k. Hehehehehe....
