Any Mods for Chrome?

Technically, all the mods so far *can* work on Chrome as the games code is nearly the same....BUT as you have found, the file system is uses would keep the average player from messing with it.In this game's case, once you find its folder from there you will see a series of numbered files with no extensions. Once of the files, usually the 6-8th one will be the one with the scripts in it. All of the larger files are actually *zip* files so if you add the extension then you can open them and replace files as desired. The smallest file is most likely the index file which tells what each of the numbered files are. Other than that, you will the player profile and saved games files. It is not officially supported but your are free to experiment if you want. I am mulling over the idea of creating a Mod Manager to support the installation of mods on Windows, Chrome and upcoming platforms. But it will be a while before I have anything.

I have found how to get to the files. They're random names with no extension, but if you match the file sizes, you can add .zip to them and open them up. Scrips directory is in there and you can plop your files there, remove .zip and you're off and running.Path in Chrome: filesystem:http://dontstarve-release.appspot.com/persistent/and file location on my Portable Chrome drive:W:\PortableApps\GoogleChromePortable\Data\profile\Default\File System\000\p\00Tried an experiment this morning. Took one of my Steam save games and copied it over to the Chrome directory (above). Copied over a recent Chrome save game and it loaded in Chrome perfectly.
