My game have a trigger crash around the crockpot. I just cant put anything, one even single ingredient.
No mods, no codes, no link with Shipwrecked or Hamlet.
Started today, after Pig year att. I play only  Don't Starve - Rein of Giants, not tested in other version. I already check and repair my files on Steam. Still the same.

I'm having the same issue, I was in adventure mod, in the first world (archipelago) no problem. I put my crockpot in the new world ( King of winter) and i have a LUA Bug.

Here the bug report:

I'm having similar issue to you guys, but not all my saves are affected so I wonder what is causing this problem. I send bug report, so let's hope they'll fix it really fast.

I have the same issue as well. This is on xboxone. I bought the ROG version several days ago and this error pops up usually after I have the game paused for 1-2 minutes but just recently happened midgame not appearing to be triggered by anything in particular. Please help. Want to play :(

@Help please

As a solution go to data/scripts/wigets/text.lua on line 53 and replace function with this:

function Text:SetString(str)
    if( type(str) == "string" ) then
        self.string = str
        self.inst.TextWidget:SetString(str or "")
    else
        self.string = ""
        self.inst.TextWidget:SetString("")
    end
end

Not fixing the issue, but hiding the implications.

It happens on PC version as well.
