About This File

This mod has been abandoned for a long time but rezecib made an up-to-date version of it, combined with another mod.

Displays health, hunger and sanity values at all times. It's also possible to monitor naughtiness (Krampus) and temperature. There's also a beaver meter for Woodie.

RoG and SW compatible.

  • Mechanics

Temperature and naughtiness are hidden automatically when inside the caves since it's always at 20°c and none of the creatures increase your naughtiness. These mechanics exist in the game and weren't created by me. This mod just monitors them.

  Naughtiness :

The naughtiness threshold for spawning Krampus is set to a random number between 30 and 50 as soon as you kill an innocent creature. Killing certain creatures increases your naughtiness. Once the cap reached, naughtiness is reset to zero and the new threshold is automatically set to a random number between 30 and 50. And Krampus spawns of course. There's a chance to spawn 2 or 3 Krampii after day 50 and 3 or 4 Krampii after day 100.

  Temperature :

Thresholds and limits are not the same whether you are playing RoG or vanilla DS. RoG introduced overheating, which occurs at 70°C (154°F). That's second degree burn territory. So I halved the displayed temperature (temp°C/2 then converted to °F) so that it feels more natural in RoG. See below for details.

* Vanilla game : The temperature ranges from -20°C (-4°F) to 40°C (104°F). If it goes under 5°C (41°F) you'll start shivering and under 0°C (32°F) losing health.

* RoG & SW : The temperature ranges from -10°C (14°F) to 45°C (113°F). Over 35°C (95°F), you'll overheat. If it goes under 3°C (38°F) you'll start shivering and under 0°C (32°F) losing health. So careful !

  • Compatibilities

- Not compatible with RPG HUD Neat unless you deactivate the custom badges (for RPG HUD Neat, not Always on Status).

  • How to install this mod
It's better to disable the Steam Cloud feature for the game. Always backup your savegames, profile and saveindex before installing a new mod or you'll be very sour if something goes wrong. They are usually located in "..\Steam\userdata\<your steam ID>\219740\remote" or "My documents\Klei\DoNotStarve\save". Backup all the files found in those folders.

Extract the folder located in the archive to "...\Steam\steamapps\common\dont_starve\mods" or the equivalent if you use the standalone version. Once in game, head to the mods tab and activate the mod (the Neat version requires a restart) then configure it.

:3 Thank you for all your hard work and mods!! I love this one and RPG Hud :-) When I ran DS with "Always v6.00" I got this warning! http://oi40.tinypic.com/2dbv72d.jpg I'm not good with all this mod stuff, so I have no idea what wrong! I'm also running RPG Hud v5.00 with it so I don't know if that's causing the problem. Thank you for your help in advance!

Edit: I did delete the old files before, getting the new ones, but to no avail. I hope you had a great vacation! Thank you so much again for you hard work. I'll go ahead and remove both Always and RPG and re-install them again. Also RPG Hud does work fine by itself. Hope you're having a good night!

I'll give it a look as soon as possible. There are just so many things to take care of when getting back from vacation ! 80% of my free time is going towards updating the mods .

Edit - Make sure to erase the mod's folder before updating it. It's working fine here. But I'll investigate further

Has anyone else noticed the temperature in the winter is like 40 degrees sometimes and it's snowing?  Is this a bug or is there an update I missed?

:3 It works now, I had to delete both files (RPG Hud & Always On Status) and then re-installing them. I don't know what changed, but it works now. Thank you so much :) I love your mods!! Makes my Link happy! They should pay you for your amazing work! :p

I deleted my Don't Starve Local content after deleting the mods folder. Re-installed, re-download both  " Always on Status v6.00 " & " RPG Hud v5.00 ". They both work separately but not when enabled together. I get this error; " http://oi40.tinypic.com/10nxbw1.jpg "

I'm really sorry to hear that, don't know why it doesn't work for you. I'm running them both and it's working just fine.

Edit -- The naughty meter isn't working right now but it shouldn't cause your game to crash.

I had the same issue. I disabled all my other mods and Always On Status now works. I will try and see what is causing interference.

EDIT : As expected, a similar add-on (such as Backpack and Amulet) will cause that very specific error.

I tested it with RGP HUD bare bones (same as backpack and amulet) and it works. Give it a shot and tell me if it was successful

Not sure why this is happening. I have uninstalled all my mods and only installed " Alway's On Status v6.1 " & " RPG HUD v5.00 " and they are still conflicting and only when enabled together, separate they are ok even when I installed and enabled other mods. I sincerely do apologize for my hassle. This is the message I get when both enabled, " http://oi42.tinypic.com/htxme1.jpg " .

Edit: I just re-read the post before me, is the BareBones version the only one working for people with this problem atm and the others in time ? I didn't mean to come off as ignorant or anything, sry if this ^ is the case.

Don't apologize for not knowing something, ever ! ;)

But I seriousely have no idea why you get conflicts with the 2 mods :perplex: I'm running them just fine.. Have you tried the other versions or RPG HUD ?

So, I finally had to start changing version around to see if earlier ones are compatible like you asked. I deleted the mods folder, re-installed Don't Starve so I could get a fresh start. Game starts fine, when I click on mods I get this, ( http://oi43.tinypic.com/2q1bdlc.jpg ) .

The thing is I don't have ANY mods iinstalled through the workshop or manualy. This just keeps getting getter. I checked the integrity of the game cache and it was ok. I restarted Steam, re-installed the game a few times, re-started my computer and still got this message.

Edit: Wow, this sure is weird. For the heck of it I installed a mod to see if it would install a necessary/missing file and it worked. Not the original issue of your conflickting mods with me but geez, didn't know there has to be a mod in there otherwise it would crash.

Now that it is working again I will try and swap around different versions and see what works.

Happy to see you're getting closer to making your game run properly. Please keep me informed of that :)

Hi all!

First of all, thank you kiopho for creating this great mod!

I'd like to inform you that Always On Status in somehow causing errors if the Madman's Fighting Pack mod is enabled.

If it's disabled, then everything is fine but if I enable Madman and Always On Status then my savegames won't load.

I get a message like this:

The following mod(s) have caused a failure: Always On Status

c:/Dont Starve/data/.../mods/Always On Status/modmain.lua:51: attempt to call method 'SetNaughty' (a nil value)

LUA ERROR stack traceback:

=(tail call)?

= [C] in function 'xpcall'

c:/Dont Starve/data/scripts/mods.lua(15,1)
c:/Dont Starve/data/scripts/mods.lua(411,1) in functiin 'SimPosInit'
c:/Dont Starve/data/scripts/gamelogic.lua(742,1) in function 'DoInitGame'
c:/Dont Starve/data/scripts/gamelogic.lua(865,1) in function 'cb'

Also if the two mods are enabled the game throws another error in Windows if I close it.
This happens with the version 6.1  19 Sep 2013.
I did not try it with older versions.

Would you be so kind as to try and fix this error so the two mods can be enabled at the same time?

Thank you in advance!

Question, well, more of a clarification on changing priorities. I use Display food/healing item values (DF/HIV), RPG HUD & Always On Status and will be trying out Camp Rez. So far all 3 work together if I don't change the priorities. Adding in Camp Rez means having to change the priority order. I don't think I am inputing the order correctly.  Always On Status > RPG HUD > Camp Rez. Do I make the priorities ascending or decending ?

Should DF/HIV be priority = 1 , RPG HUD priority = 2 , Camp Rez priority = 3 or DF/HIV priority = 3 , RPG Hud priority = 2 , Camp Rez priority = 1 ?

Also, if for some reason changing the priorities makes AoS crash DS, should AoS be put in a priority ?

I believe it's a matter of priority in moinfo.lua of both mods. AoS must have a higher one.

Try it and tell me if it works.

PS : Madman's fighting pack can cause the game to crash WHEN LEAVING or ALT+F4 so not really a problem and I don't know why it does that, I tried to troubleshoot it in vain.

I changed the priority of AoS to 4 by default so it can work together with backpack and amulet slot.

For RPG HUD and AoS they can have the same priority. Display food values should be higher. Finally campres the lowest.

DF/HIV > RPG HUD/AoS > Campres I believe. Give it a shot, I tested it briefly and it seems to work.

I did set the priority of AoS to 4 and it seems to be working without errors. Thank you!

Neither mods had priority settings in their modinfo.lua files so I put a "priority = 4" line in AoS' modinfo.lua and after that the problem is gone.
