How do I uses maxwells powers with a cusom character

I was wondering if it's possible to add some code to my custom character so that he can use maxwell's minion powers, Is this possible?

The short answer is yes.
It's entirely possible to give a custom character the powers of an already existing character if you're willing to do a little bit of editing. The best place to start would be to use the "shadowwaxwell.lua" and "shadowwaxwellbrain.lua" files as templates for what you want, which you can find in the Don't Starve Together game files in . Additionally, you would have to take parts of the "waxwell.lua" file and put them into your custom character's prefab file.
