Some seeds just puts you in a spot where you have to rush insulation to prevent hypothermia before cycle 10 or so. Having doors that do not let the heat in too easily would make for great "thermo-locks" (as in air-lock) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Kasuha Posted July 2, 2017 Share Posted July 2, 2017 While I agree with you that heat insulating airlock would be great, there are ways to deal with the insulation as long as you understand how the game works. Here's an example of thermal airlock, separating cold room. It's built on the fact that heat is very slow to propagate downwards in gases. For even better insulation, you may consider using a vacuum airlock. It takes some power. The example below is not used to separate different temperatures and is meant just as illustration to the concept but there's no temperature transfer through vacuum, (except a few exceptions which don't play role here).
