MidrealmDM Posted June 25, 2017 Share Posted June 25, 2017 Ideas for traits POSITIVE TRAITS 'Hot Blooded' - this duplicant has higher than average tolerance to hot temperatures 'Cold Natured' - this duplicant has higher than average tolerance to hot temperatures 'Friendly' - this duplicant is always helpful and nice to be around (reduces stress of those nearby) 'Stylish' - this duplicant has impeccable sense of style (improves decor nearby) POSITIVE TRAITS 'Slob' - this duplicant makes a mess wherever they go (reduces decor nearby) cannot perform the jobs 'sweep' and 'mop' 'Thermosensitive' - (probably could use a better name) this duplicant is more sensitive to heat and cold. This one is pretty cool. Not enough game mechanics use light. Traits: Acrobatic - increases speed of movement animations other than walking and climbing ladders (jumps, climbing tiles etc.) Germaphobic - stressed out by dirty hands and grimy conditions Amphibious (modification of existing trait) - also decreases stress penalties for soggy feet and soaking, possibly to 0 Stress reactions: Panic/outburst - runs around the colony with hands in the air, screaming, causing stress and interrupted jobs (and sleep) in others Heart attack - drops to the ground and loses some health, can become incapacitated if dropped to 0 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Not stressed by soggy feet, soaking wet, dirty hands. Never uses showers. Smelly to other duplicants to the level that his proximity interrupts their sleep just like loud sleeper. Current traits can already make a dupe unable to do some jobs: combat (scaredy cat), cooking (gastrophobic), art (uncultured), research (yokel), digging (can't dig it), building (dimensionally inept), repairs (destructive). So why not mop/sweep? They're not "covered" yet. It's not like you have to hire all dupes like him, he'd just get some pros and some cons from the trait. MidrealmDM Posted June 30, 2017 Author Share Posted June 30, 2017 'Heavy Sleeper' - tends to sleep later than other duplicants Does not wake at the end of the nighttime cycle, remains in bed until need to eat or use bathroom causes them to wake up.
