Hatches disappeared

I've been herding 5~6 hatches for almost 50 cycles but then they've suddenly disappeared at some point. Anyone having same problem?

there is a bug where they can get stuck in a door/floor.

check it by deconstructing floor/open your door

Also Hatches can die if temperature become too hot or cold for them.

Couldn't hover over the floor and doors with your mouse until it says there is a hatch there?

Well if it did there would've been meat leftover.

You sure they are not hiding behind the compactor? That seems to happen a lot when they have only 1 tile.

I dig out all around and find out that they were buried in copper ore 3 tiles above from their home. They climbed up 3 tiles and were BURIED in copper ore not burrowed LOL

They can only go UP 2 tiles and jump horizontally 1 tile.... Think you may have released them by accident at some point

I have a puff I am trying to keep in an area and let me tell you keeping them rounded up is really hard.  However, as to the disappearing beasts, the puff seems to disappear occasionally so it seems to be all beasties.
