I believe the reason is (maybe?) that Maxwell is on the throne and the ruler of the world in DS. However, in DST the characters meet him personally, in a different situation where they are on the same level now, Maxwell has no more power than they do. So their relationship changed and to reflect this, they have different quotes in Together. I like these ones better, I think they fit to the game more.
