Decorative walls/back walls

Recommended Posts

This suggestion is based on reducing a dupe's stress levels as well as allowing a user to customize their base to something they like to view.

First part: decorative walls (or wall changes)

  • Walls can be build with any building resources (as current)
    • The building resource affects how the wall looks
    • Building resource also can affect beauty of the wall.
      • Aka: something build with sandstone gives 1 beauty, something built out of pure gold (if ever such thing exists in the game) would make a room a beauty of 10
  • Different types of walls can be built as well as decorative walls
    • brick tiles that are more beauty full
    • metal tiles out of metals that are more functional
      • Maybe just for viewer enjoyment or a reduction/increase in heat transfer?

Second part: Back walls

  • Walls in the empty space blocks behind everything
    • Would also be used to slightly increase the beauty of a room
    • good for allowing a player to look at a nicer back to their base
    • maybe can have fans/functional blocks in them so users can place stuff in front?
    • paintings could be converted so they lay behind objects instead of intersecting them (and therefore disallowing ability to build there.

Thanks for reading these suggestions!

I quite like that idea, maybe it could be the next research after decor 1.
