Jandar
Often when driling down I found the same problem: First CO2 will gather in the new drilling making job harder with every step. Especially if excavation is not part of the main base Second dups seems to have a problem when operating in narrow spaces going down making them stressed and wasting loads of time. They tends to make their job very inefficient in worst case dig>return>deliver>return>build>return>repeat So we could use a machine that only job is to dig beneath it to some extend. This is a common method used for example excavate oil, also dups are alredy using that laser tools for digging so we can just put one with more power pointing down.
