A new suggestion for the current water problem

Recommended Posts

Agreed: Only 2H + 1O = H2O

So in fact the Hydrogen-Reactor would have to produce some water, and on the flipside consume Oxygen (which it both does not. So the answer is no.)

But thinking about these modifications, this would lead to a closed circuit with the Water-to-Oxygen-and-Hydrogen thingy.

Additional Oxygen for water-production can be produced by photosynthesis CO2 -> 1C, 2O (algae-habitate)

Additional Hydrogen.. no idea, do we have a chemist among us?

Well most problems would probably be solved with a proper regard for the laws of conservation, most notably water since most of it disappears into the algae terraria and cooking(seriously where does that 50kg of water for the liceloaf go, if it's going into the food whomever tries to consume it will face a serious case of water poisoning).

It will just be good if there's a gas like CH4 to burn, consuming O2 and then generates co2, water and energy.

That's actually a really nice idea. Simple reaction, feasible one and very useful for game

You could replace the need to include methane gas by having a biomass reactor: slime goes in with gas piped oxygen, CO2 is emitted out around the device while power exits to a connected grid and water (or containmented water) comes out through an outlet water pipe.

This way slime can serve two purposes: algae production (ultimately oxygen production and carbon scrubbing, maybe food production) and energy / water production (at the expense of oxygen and increased CO2).
