cpy
If we ever get to more combat oriented stuff, how about some of my favorite xenomorphs and auto turrets! GAME OVER MAN GAME OVER!
Xedlord
I had some ideas but I'm sure no one will like them... but here they are: (I haven't drawn pictures yet) The morb mother The alpha hatch The porcupine puft They would all be like bosses

Think your water supply is safe? Grey goo through your pipes to the supply. Devastating, but if hidden far from spawn, a decent late game hazard. I was thinking of something similar except it was yellow and instead of growing bigger by sucking up water it would just grow indefinitely filling up the room it's in and eventually breaking through blocks and would eventually consume the whole world if not stopped

Daikataro
Ice Biome: Furchilla, can be shaven to get its fur for clothes, but shaving an unfriendly one will result in less fur, and it attacking the dupe that tries to get it; can overpower the dupe if low strength. Can be befriended by feeding it, and brought to the base with a "move to" command. Will die if shaven and left in the ice biome, or unshaven and left in a warm space for too long. Swamp biome: Coiler, a reptilian lifeform that hides in algae and slime blocks, will attack lone dupes by coiling around them to suffocate them and run away from groups of 3 or more, is attracted to subtle changes in heat. It can't be tamed, but can be captured and bred for its eggs (food source). It should be hardy and resilient to changes in temperature, pressure and atmosphere. Igneous rock biome: Walker, a small yet surprisingly heavy rock-based life form, it can crack single-tile floors if it stands on them long enough and is innately curious about everything, specially dupes, which it will follow on sight. Naturally friendly and takes a liking to dupes easily, VERY hard to defeat and deals heavy damage when angered, it can be fed sandstone and poops out sand. It quickly deteriorates and eventually dies in humid enviroments, pretty much immune to changes in temperature, atmosphere or pressure, it can even walk into magma for a short while. Left4twenty
A "radioactive" creature that causes a "radiation sickness" effect to dupes that come into contact with it or its irradiated environment. Could be an opener to the game mechanic of radiation, radioactive elements, radioactive decay of elements into other elements, nuclear power, "shielded" tiling.. could be a good mechanic to add for depth maybe? Alternately, the creature could act as a trait shuffle, "mutating" dupes (changing traits) with some probability of gaining a negative trait at the cost of increasing their stress as well. Not sure if the second one is implementable in a reasonable way though
Radax3
Love your ideas @Daikataro. Especially the Furchila one! Grawlo: Grinds hard stone using its teeth and emits fine materials. For example, sandstone to sand and Ice to snow. Prft: Manatee/cow thing. Consumes contaminated water, emiting methane and small amounts of clean water. Creatures that sneak into the fridge! Creatures that scatter the items from storage units! Creatures that make "art" with "contaminated soil" that increases stress... P.S. I love my kids... Hmm, how about a creature that shape-shifts into one of your dupes and could be able to destroy things? The way to find out if it was a fake is: 1. A green-ish tint to their skin color. 2. They would do no work 3. They don't eat/talk. 4. They make a weird sound. Quote me if this is a decent idea!

dwarftopia
We could have a creature that dwells in Hydrogen areas and uses it to heat its body, but emitting a lot of heat in its immediate vicinity (say up to 50-60 °C). Or a creature that is the exact opposite (cools the area around it), kind of like a mobile wheezeworth.
Pinstar
"Wuffs" Look and move like shaggy dogs, but have no eyes. You build a food bowl and domesticate them and assign a dupe as owner. They eat 500 kcal per day but act as a huge stress reducer. Other dupes can pet the wuff for minor stress relief. Massive stress penalty if the wuff dies. vonVile
I brought this up in another thread, but a snail-like creature that leaves slime trails to create Contaminated Water. It lives by eating leaves off plants and likes to hang out on the top of ceiling making it hard for Dupes to get to them if you make large open spaces, so it doesn't need to move fast. Its shell would be immune to Dupe weapons and can only be killed when out of it. There would be a secret way to kill them while in their shells, but I will only reveal it to Klei programmers. As for uses of snail shells they can be used as coagulant in waste water treatment.
