Wizzard4Life
so i just googled Oxygen Not Included related stuff to maybe get more information but then i saw a post from polygon (to see the full post > click here <) saying (and i quote):The game is set for release May 9, 2017, according to its Steam listing. but it doesn't show anywhere on the steam site that is releases on May 9, 2017 its just says (When it's ready!) and on the trailer (late 2016 / early 2017). so any idea's from you guys how polygon got this "information" (edit) more sites seem to show this release date information
Developer ImDaMisterL Posted February 7, 2017 Developer Share Posted February 7, 2017 The other sites likely copied from Polygon. They either know something we don't or guessed the release date from something Klei told them?
CarlZalph
If I had to guess, then it'd be a placeholder date Klei put up when they first uploaded stuff to Steam's networks before they edited the release date to a custom string.
DNsingbanana
You all misundersood, it's the release date of new informations about the game
JoeW
The steam listing originally had an erroneous release date, I think based on some other setting. I don't recall what exactly. It might have been just something we threw in there when we very first started working on it as @CarlZalph said.
