The Rare Anything

So I had joined a server that had just started on day 1 so I thought that there would be lots of rescources and flint since the problem with others usually is that all the flint is gone from past players. I spawn in a grass field and walk on a dirt path for about half an hour. All I found were a couple rock biomes and more rock biomes. I thought that maybe the server had some strange settings but it was completely normal. I only found 1 forest biome along the way that i eventually dried out of twigs and wood for the time being. I died because I couldn't get any food since I ran out of twigs by day 12 so I couldn't create traps. I just found this world hilarious since it had a lack of any resources of the sort. And since it would be strange to only find grass fields and rock biomes with only one glimmer of hope, that being a forest biome.
